CHIEF INSPECTOR ESPENIDO REQUESTED TO BE ASSIGNED IN ILOILO CITY.
Controversial cop yet popular to the masses Jovie Espenido, Chief Inspector of Ozamiz City PNP is requested to be transferred in Iloilo City, the place which President Rodrigo Duterte labeled as “most shabulized”.
Iloilo City Mayor, Jed Mabilog is included to the narco-list of President Rodrigo Duterte that he announced last year as part of his bloody fight against illegal drugs.
In several speeches, President Rodrigo Duterte referred to Iloilo City as the most ‘shabulized’ city and bedrock of illegal drugs. He also repeatedly accused the Mayor Mabilog as protector of illegal drugs in his city.
In an interview over ANC’s Headstart with Karen Davila, Espenido said that ‘God willing’ he wants Iloilo City as his next assignment.
“I’ll talk to him firs. We’ll have a serious dialogue. I’ll be able to tell if he is sincere or not.” Espenido said.
Few days ago Espenido warned the local government officials to resign if they are involved in drugs if they don’t want to follow the footsteps of the Ozamiz City former Mayor Aldong Parojinog Sr who killed two weeks ago during an anti-drug operation led by the controversial cop.
In another interview, Espenido also expressed his desire to work in National Bilibid Prison where the illegal drugs were reportedly still rampant despite of the efforts of the government.
“Kung ako lang ang masusunod, hinahanap ko talaga yong pinaka-problema para matulungan talaga natin.. yan sanang sa NBP[National Bilibid Prison] yan ang pinaka the best,” he said.
He also asked his higher ups to assign him in Bilibid Prison so he can try to solve the problem inside the national penitentiary.
Espenido said that he wanted to ‘discipline’ the prisoners inside the Bilibid Prison because despite of being imprisoned, some of the VIP inmates can still continue their illegal transaction outside by using several ways of communications like borrowing cellphones from prison guards.
“Diba natuturuan natin ang aso na umupo, tumalon. Yan, aso yan ah.. tao pa kaya, hinatin natin maturuan?” Espenido said.
He also believe that God would guide him in his mission to destroy illegal drugs in places where he’s going to be assigned.
“Tulungan tayo ng Panginoon at bigyan ng Wisdom para ma guide at maituro natin ang pinakamabuti,” he said.
Espenido also shared that when he was assigned in Ozamiz City, many of his friends urged him to resign because of the possible danger of the assignment gave to him.
But he was grateful to the mission that PNP Chief Ronald Bato Dela Rosa gave to him.
“Natuwa ako, sabi ko Lord thank you maipapakita ko na kung gano kalaki ang kapangyarihan ng Panginoong Diyos, kung takot tayong mamatay, wala tayong ganyan” he told the interviewer.
