De Lima Binanatan si Mark Zukerberg may ari ng Facebook dahil sa hindi tinanggal ang mga Fake News tungkol sa Kanya, Dinedma Lang!

Senator Leila De Lima has had enough for her unheard appeals to Mark Zuckerber, Founder of Facebook, to remove all the fake news, spread by allegedly paid trolls and hackers, against her and slammed Zuckerberg on Sunday.

“It has been a year since I last wrote a letter to Facebook expressing my concern over the continued proliferation of fake news that has been populating our social media, notably Facebook, but the letter remained –unanswered and unacted,” she said.

“These fake news stories are negatively affecting our national discourse and public opinion. The continued distribution of false stories has also become a tool for power-hungry public officials to feed the public with poison and lies to propel their political career to greater heights,” De Lima added.

According to De Lima, a strict control on the allowed posts on social media must be exercised by the owners of social media by finding creative and innovative ways and means to end the spreading of malicious and fake news, especially by paid trolls and hackers.

“As the world’s most-used and largest social network, the people behind Facebook should take disinformation seriously, considering that not everyone is well-versed about the distinction between fake news, propaganda, satire and fiction,” she said.

Before her incarceration, De Lima sent letter to Facebook Philippines Country Director Digs Dimagiba, reporting the misleading articles against her , wherein she listed the alleged “fake news” about her, posted on social media like her $6-million mansion in New York, suicide attempt and others.

“These fake news stories have also mutated into fake videos and audio clips that have been recklessly shared and re-shared,” De Lima said.

“Unfortunately, some of these have found their ways into our mainstream news media and consequently, confused the public between real and fake news,” she added.
