As we all know, Miss Intercontinental Philippines Katarina Rodriguez is already in Egypt, familiarizing herself and getting ready for the big coronation night on January 26.
On Instagram Sunday, the Filipina beauty queen shared a cute trivia bit that should make the competition a little more exciting for us Pinoys: Miss USA Raquel Basco and Miss Japan Kumi Miyamae are actually half-Filipinas, too!
The three beauty queens posed for a photo, which Katarina posted on her Instagram account, and shared her interesting findings.
According to Missosology, the mother of Miss Japan Kumi Miyamae hails from the Philippines, where Kumi completed her studies.
Kumi’s actually a graduate of Ateneo de Manila University, which, if you’re a fan of the DLSU-ADMU rivalry, should excite you even more; Katarina Rodriguez hails from De La Salle.
Miss USA Raquel Basco meanwhile, is a first generation Filipino-American studying business marketing.
