Duterte government magbibigay ng libreng Internet sa 42,000 na barangay

Ang gobyerno ay magpapamahagi ng internet sa mahigit 42,000 na barangay sa buong bansa.

Ito ang magandang balita na hatid ni Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar ngayong Huwebes.

Sinabi ni Andanar na maaaring ngayong Hunyo masimulan ang paglalagay ng mga set-top boxes o satellite receivers upang makapanood na ng libre ang mga opisyales tuwing may Presidential speeches o anumang akdibidadis sa pamahalaan.

“Our target is to launch this June this year because it’s not a joke to roll out 42,000 satellite receivers,” saad ni Andanar.

Dagdag pa niya, “We’re doing this for faster internet delivery through satellite in remote areas of the Philippines. We know there are barangays in our country that have no telecommunication signal. So government satellite network will provide internet in barangay halls without internet.”

Ipinaliwanag rin ni Andanar ang kagandahan ng kanilang proyekto na maaaring makausap ng derekta ni Pangulong Duterte ang isang barangay sa pamamagitan ng satellite.

“The beauty of this government satellite network, not just one way. Because it has internet access, it will also have IP (internet protocol) TV. So Barangay San Roque, for example, in the remote area of Cagayan can speak to the President of Malacañang using your satellite,” paliwanag ni Andanar.
